Students who missed the official Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) application deadline have been granted a final opportunity to seek placement into universities and colleges.

In a public notice issued, KUCCPS announced that eligible students who failed to apply within the stipulated period can submit formal requests to be considered as late applicants before the placement process is finalized.

The move offers a lifeline to thousands of students who were unable to submit their applications during the agency's official placement window.

Students seeking consideration must send an email to info@kuccps.ac.ke, clearly stating their request to be considered for late placement.

Applicants are required to include their KCSE index number, the year they sat the KCSE examination, full name, phone number, and email address.

"Send an email to info@kuccps.ac.ke requesting to be considered as a late applicant. Please include your KCSE index number, year of KCSE exam, name, phone number and email address," KUCCPS said.

However, the placement agency cautioned that submitting a request does not automatically guarantee placement, noting that each application will be considered on its merits and subject to available capacity.

KUCCPS is expected to release the final placement results ahead of the September admission cycle, enabling successful applicants to know the institutions and courses they have been assigned.

The agency's latest move comes after data showed that although 268,714 candidates who sat the 2025 KCSE examination attained the minimum university entry grade of C+ and above, more than 56,000 eligible students had not submitted placement applications by the official deadline.

The final window is expected to give the affected candidates one last chance to secure placement before admissions to higher learning institutions commence.
