Safematics is an operational intelligence business operating in Kenya’s fleet management sector. Eleven months in, they have established foundations, proven the model with early customers, and are now ready to scale. They’re looking for a General Manager to lead that next chapter.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by managing the full B2B sales cycle and converting pilots into commercial contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet operators and business customers.
- Lead installation operations, inventory management, and service delivery standards.
- Manage customer support, reporting, collections, and CRM compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with platform partners and ensure operational excellence.
- Recruit, develop, and lead teams across sales, installations, and customer support.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, financial controls, and data protection standards.
Requirements - Minimum 3 years’ professional experience, including at least 2 years in a senior commercial or operational leadership role.
- Proven B2B sales success, preferably with fleet operators, logistics firms, or related sectors.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
- Valid Kenyan driving licence (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fleet telematics, IoT, fuel management, or related technologies.
- Strong network within Kenya’s transport, logistics, or fleet management sectors.
- Experience with HubSpot CRM.
- MBA or other postgraduate qualification.
